A young widow, still in mourning, is propositioned by her late husband's brother. When she refuses his advances, he threatens to have her ousted from her husband's home. She would have to reconcile her personal convictions and Catholic beliefs with her in-laws' demands. Inspired by a news article about a widow who was ostracized by her in-laws, the movie tells the story of a young widow torn between her Catholic beliefs and the oppressive demands of tradition.
